Official Nassau County record questions belong with the office that created or maintains the file. Police agencies answer for their incident and arrest reports. The Nassau County Sheriff's Department handles county booking and custody material. Criminal court clerks provide case files and certified dispositions, while the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services handles a person's fingerprint-based state record review. This privately operated site does not receive record requests. The contacts below route each request to the government custodian most likely to hold it.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private reference site cannot retrieve, certify, correct, or seal a criminal record, conduct an official check, or accept a government filing.

Need an Official Record?

Nassau County uses different custodians for police, jail, court, and state criminal-history records:

The sheriff and courts are not interchangeable. The Sheriff's Department address above is the researched contact for jail and custody material. Court papers come from the clerk in Mineola, Hempstead, Long Beach, Glen Cove, or the town or village court that owns the case. Current hours and phone routing should be checked on the official office page before a visit.
